    Creative Art and Drawing/Painting

    This course is an introduction to high school art. The elements and principles of design are emphasized; demonstrate two and three dimensional construction; utilize design vocabulary and basic drawing skills.  The principles of design are studied in projects such as architecture design through 1, 2, & 3 point perspective. In the area of drawing, projects will include human anatomy and creating correct proportions, still life, contour, and line in nature.  In the area Painting, the students will demonstrate painting techniques; apply color theory and composition techniques.  This course also studies the basics of 3D~design. Students will learn to hand build coil pots, pinch pots, slabs, and many others.
