• Meet Mrs. Foxhoven

Hello, my name is Mrs. Kelsey Foxhoven and I am looking forward to having your child in my 3rd grade class this year. About Me: I grew up in Dakota City, NE. I graduated in 2007 from Homer High School in Homer, NE and then in 2012 I graduated from Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. Growing up I loved playing sports! My favorite sports are basketball and volleyball, and I still currently try to keep active in both sports. This will be my fourth year teaching third grade here at Tea. Previously,

I am from a very big extended family, and my immediate family has been getting bigger every year. My parents still live at their home in Dakota City, NE. I have three siblings who all live back home within just a few minutes of my parents’ home. All of my siblings are married and I have 8 nieces and nephews. They range from 1-11 years old. They are a blast to spend time with and keep all of us busy. Lastly, I am the youngest in my family and my husband Brady and I just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. Brady previously worked as an RN Coordinator in the ICU at Sanford Hospital. This August he will be furthering his career and attending Mount Marty College here in Sioux Falls to become a Nurse Anesthetist. We also have one beautiful little girl, Collyns, who just turned 1 in August.

During my free time I really enjoy reading, shopping, keeping active and spending time with my family and friends. My family means the world to me and I absolutely love going home to Nebraska to see all of them. I really miss seeing all my nieces and nephews, but I always try to make it home to all their birthdays and other events.

I am really looking forward to my fourth year in Tea. I love the school and everyone I work with. I want you to know that you are welcome to contact me at any time. My email is Kelsey.Foxhoven@k12.sd.us.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year. I hope all of your children are excited about the school year as much as I am. I really want this year to be a fun learning experience for everyone.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Foxhoven
