    March 13- April 15
     
    Lit Circles
    Students will read in small groups and discuss the book they chose with other students that have the same interests. Daily readings and annotation sheets will be completed.  Final project at the end.
     
    February 1- March  11
     
    Touching Spirit Bear
    Daily reading of the book with comprehension questions and vocabulary. Final project is in place of a final test.  Students have a printed copy of the rubric for the final project.
     
    December 1- January 30
     
     The Diary of Anne Frank
    Reading the play version of The Diary of Anne Frank. During this time students will take turn reading the different parts of the play and working on assignments to relate to the time period and our main character, Anne.
      
     October 15-November 15
     
    Edgar Allen Poe
    We will be reading selected works be Edgar Allen. During this time the student will have little daily work outside of class.  Students will be expected to hand in a project at the end of the unit depicting their favorite work and present it in class.
